About the Role:
We are seeking creative, passionate, and dedicated Art & Visual Art Teachers to join educational institutions across a variety of settings. This role is ideal for educators who are committed to inspiring students through visual expression, artistic exploration, and the development of both technical skills and creative confidence.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging art and visual art lessons tailored to students’ age, grade level, and artistic experience
• Teach foundational art concepts including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, digital media, and mixed media
• Introduce students to a diverse range of artistic styles, movements, and cultural traditions, from classical to contemporary art
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and studio-like classroom environment where students feel encouraged to experiment, take creative risks, and express their unique perspectives
• Guide students in developing technical skills, artistic vocabulary, and critical thinking through hands-on projects and reflective practices
• Assess student progress through portfolios, projects, exhibitions, and class participation
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate learners with varying abilities, interests, and cultural backgrounds
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student development and artistic growth when required
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects, school exhibitions, events, and community art initiatives
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with art education best practices and emerging media
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Art Education, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field
• Teaching qualification or certification (e.g., teaching license, QTS, or equivalent) preferred
• Related teaching experience required, preferably in international or diverse school settings
• Strong artistic background with proficiency in a range of traditional and/or digital media
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Flexibility to adapt to different curricula (e.g., IB, IGCSE, AP, National) and school environments
