Position Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic, detail-oriented, and revenue-minded Director of Events & Field Marketing to lead our global events vision and North American field marketing program. In this high-stature leadership role, you will act as a player-coach to manage a high-performing squad of events and marketing professionals. You will own how G2’s brand shows up across flagship conferences, executive roundtables, partner activations, and account-based marketing (ABM) field pipelines, directly driving enterprise customer acquisition, brand awareness, and user loyalty blocks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Event Strategy: Shape and execute G2’s comprehensive event roadmap across four key vectors: owned corporate flagship events, global tradeshows/conferences, customer-facing advisory meetups, and regional field marketing activations.
  • Field Program & ABM Integration: Oversee the design and execution of our North American field marketing engine, ensuring regional programs (executive dinners, lunch-and-learns, sponsorships) are tightly integrated into G2’s Account-Based Marketing (ABM) frameworks alongside sales leadership.
  • Flagship Program Production: Direct end-to-end planning and logistics for G2’s high-profile properties, including our annual Reach Conference , high-impact Dreamforce receptions, and the newly scaled **AI in Action Roadshow**.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with the broader Brand team to secure consistent asset messaging, sync with Communications to run our internal speakers bureau, and support internal Employee Success teams on large-scale corporate kickoff events.
  • Review Booth Infrastructure: Manage G2’s customer-facing review booth generation program, supporting over 40+ enterprise partners with custom real-time review accumulation models during their live events.
  • Measurement & Data Reporting: Build out clear, data-backed event attribution and pipeline measurement models, reporting directly to marketing and revenue executives on marketing-influenced pipeline production and ROI.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive professional experience in Event Marketing, Field Marketing, or corporate B2B Marketing leadership roles within the software technology landscape.
  • Proven track record managing, hiring, and mentoring high-performing, hybrid (remote and in-office) teams of events professionals.
  • Demonstrated success designing high-touch field activations targeting enterprise decision-makers, with verifiable metrics in marketing-influenced pipeline generation .
  • Deep conceptual understanding of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) frameworks and how in-person field activations leverage strategic account lists.
  • Fanatical attention to detail, logistical workflows, contract negotiations, and budget management profiles.
  • Excellent platform proficiency navigating Salesforce CRM and G-Suite software dashboards.
  • Travel Flexibility: Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to orchestrate in-person activations globally.
  • Location Scope: 100% remote eligibility open to qualified marketing leaders based within the United States .
