MTI Distributing, Inc., a subsidiary of The Toro Company, is the Upper Midwest’s leading supplier of products and services to the green industries. Through a combination of exceptional products and superior service, MTI is in the business of providing landscape beautification solutions to golf courses, schools, municipalities, landscape contractors, and independent dealers.

We currently have an opening for a Seasonal Delivery Driver based out of our Brooklyn Center , Minnesota location.  This position is responsible for driving a pickup truck to pick up and deliver irrigation equipment to customer locations in the Twin Cities metro area.  The position is full-time (40 hours per week) for the summer.  Days only, no nights or weekends! 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products as scheduled.
• Drive in a courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
• Safely load and unload products.
• Maintain delivery vehicle: routine maintenance, safety, and cleanliness.
• Assist irrigation stores with stocking as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Education and/or Experience

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license that adheres to MTI’s Motor Vehicle Policy.
• Ability to navigate around local area.
• Must be dependable and reliable to ensure timely delivery.
• Must be customer service oriented.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Previous delivery experience is a plus.
• Experience in the irrigation industry is also a plus.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.  The employee will drive a company vehicle and must meet MTI driving policy requirements. Must be able to occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.  The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment
Work is performed outdoors and on equipment.  There is exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, water, gas and/or fumes.

Salary $20 - $22 / hour, based upon the qualifications of the selected candidate.  Our benefit program includes:  401(k), PTO and holiday pay. 

Candidates will be subject to pre-employment background check, motor vehicle report (MVR), drug test, and physical.
