Job Description

System One is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician for an industrial new construction project located in the Charlotte, NC area. This role requires a professional capable of interpreting electrical drawings for precision conduit routing and high-density panel terminations. You'll install, test, and startup industrial power systems in a strict, "safety-first" environment.

Duration: 14+ Months

Start Date: August 2026

Schedule: Mon-Sat | 6x10s

Requirements:

• Interpret construction drawings, single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and panel/conduit schedules.
• Fabricate and install conduit for both underground and above-ground applications.
• Pull cable and terminate high-density control panels, distribution apparatus, and switchgear; connect power to industrial motors and equipment.
• Perform continuity and insulation-resistance testing with multimeters and megohmmeters, then verify equipment function for safe startup and operational compliance.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years' dedicated industrial construction experience; exclusively residential or light commercial experience will not be considered.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory and working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a small crew when the project scope requires it.
• Must possess a full set of hand tools and have reliable transportation to the job site.
• A valid Journeyman or Master electrical license — or an NC electrical contractor license (Intermediate or Unlimited) — is preferred (not required) and waives the otherwise mandatory technical assessment.
