Job Title Marine Mechanic/Outboard Technician

Location - Tavernier, FL

Job Type - Full-Time

We are a growing boat dealership on the Treasure Coast looking for an experienced Marine Mechanic to join our service team. If you take pride in your work, show up on time, and know your way around an outboard, we want to talk.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair outboard engines, sterndrive, and marine electrical systems
• Perform warranty repairs, routine maintenance, and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
• Rigging of new and used boats including electronics, trolling motors, and accessories
• Document all work accurately in service orders
• Communicate repair status and findings with the service writer/manager
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and company shop standards

Requirements

• Yamaha Certified Technician (required) -- Mercury, Suzuki, or Evinrude certs a plus
• 3+ years of hands-on marine mechanical experience
• Must own and bring your own tools
• Strong working knowledge of marine electrical systems and wiring
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Valid driver's license and clean record (boat trailer operation required)
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor/shop conditions year-round

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Garmin, Simrad, or Lowrance electronics installation
• Hydraulic steering and trim tab experience
• ABYC certification
