Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler with at least one year of experience in mechanical assembly within an electronic or mechanical manufacturing environment. This position is a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent hire.

Responsibilities
  • Read and understand assembly drawings.
  • Assemble and build mail automation equipment.
  • Use both hand and power tools to assemble equipment.
  • Work both independently and within a team depending on the project.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to read assembly drawings similar to IKEA furniture blueprints.
  • Ability to recognize parts such as pulleys, bearings, springs, and gears.
  • Ability to identify hardware including screws, bolts, nuts, washers, and snap rings.
  • Experience using both hand and power tools is strongly preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Willingness to submit to a drug test.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a manufacturing environment that is climate controlled. The position requires a full-time commitment on the first shift, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The team values personality, collaboration, and a strong desire to succeed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
