Job Title: Production Worker – Plastics Injection Molding

Job Description

This role focuses on operating plastics injection molding and related production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will set up, run, and monitor machines, support bottling line operations, and ensure products meet quality standards while maintaining accurate documentation and following established procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately read, interpret, and execute job instructions for each production run.
  • Operate plastics injection molding and related manufacturing equipment in the production department.
  • Load materials into machines and monitor production line operations to ensure an even and consistent product flow.
  • Support and monitor bottling line operations, ensuring the line runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Remove, separate, document, and report defective materials or products according to quality procedures.
  • Label, package, and palletize finished products for storage or shipment as required.
  • Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately, using both paperwork and computer entry.
  • Monitor material levels throughout the shift and resupply the production line in a timely manner to avoid work stoppages.
  • Initiate restock notifications when materials run low to maintain continuous production.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and production guidelines consistently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with production and safety standards.
  • Perform additional production-related duties as required to support team and department goals.
  • Work extended hours or overtime when necessary to meet production demands.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of experience operating plastics injection molding or extrusion equipment.
  • Hands-on experience as a production or machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical knowledge of plastics production processes, including injection molding and/or extrusion.
  • Ability to operate and monitor bottling lines or similar production line equipment.
  • Capability to accurately read, interpret, and follow written job instructions and SOPs.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and completion of production documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail for identifying and documenting defective materials and products.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as a bottling line operator, line worker, or general production worker.
  • Experience in plastic injection molding operations, including extrusion molding or extrusion machine operation.
  • Previous experience in roles such as machine operator, plastics production operator, or general manufacturing.
  • Comfort working with both wet-chemistry and dry-chemistry related products and equipment in a production setting.
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist in various areas of the production line as needed.

Work Environment

You will work in a production environment within a facility known worldwide for manufacturing chemicals and test kits for monitoring water quality, offering nearly 600 different test-kit configurations, including wet-chemistry and dry-chemistry methods and microprocessor-based instruments. The production team consists of approximately 100 people, fostering a collaborative, hands-on environment. The standard schedule for this role is 1st shift, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will spend most of your time on the production floor operating machinery, monitoring lines, handling materials, and completing documentation, while adhering to all safety and operational procedures appropriate for a manufacturing setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.
