NBC’S Integrated Design Team is seeking a Creative Director, Brand Creative to join our award-winning in-house design team. This candidate will be tasked with directing the daily maintenance and long-term evolution of the NBC identity system. They will also be expected to spearhead creative efforts that bring both our brand and our shows to market.

This role requires a hands-on, creative thinker capable of conceptualizing, directing, and launching creative solutions for all brand identity and brand marketing efforts. This includes leading creatives, internal partners, and outside vendors in the development and execution of print, motion, digital, social, outdoor, on-air, and on-platform advertising. This candidate will report to the VP of Brand Creative, and they must be comfortable working in-close collaboration with other Creative Directors, Designers, Writers, Project Managers, and senior level Executives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Identity & Design

  • Help lead the development, day-to-day maintenance, and long-term evolution of NBC’s brand identity, including but not limited to logos, typography, brand systems, and style guides
  • Ensure consistent brand expression and integration across broadcast, streaming, digital, social, print, and out of home creative
  • Guide internal teams in the training, application, and use of new and existing creative elements, style guides, and toolkits
  • Design and present clear, concise, and comprehensive presentations that showcase new creative to cross-functional partners and senior executives
  • Willingness, confidence, and technical skills to develop creative on your own, not only to effectively communicate design ideas, concepts, and campaigns for concept approval, but also to build and finalize working files at critical moments for use in real-world production and consumer-facing media

Brand & Title Marketing

  • Develop and direct marketing concepts and campaigns for both the NBC brand and NBC shows/specials
  • Direct teams of Designers, Animators, Writers, and other team members in the day-to-day development of creative promoting the NBC Brand and NBC Shows
  • Conduct creative reviews with internal teams and external vendors, translating executive feedback into actionable and clear creative direction
  • Develop and present clear, compelling presentations that showcase creative solutions and campaign ideas to senior level executives

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS;

  • 5+ years of experience in brand and title creative direction, directing teams of creatives with varying skillsets across multiple projects with variable timelines and deliverables
  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Animation or equivalent work experience within an entertainment environment (agency and client-side experience preferred, but not mandatory)
  • A world-class typographic and compositional eye, with experience working on brand systems and multi-platform brand identities
  • Comfortable in both static and motion design environments, with a creative vocabulary that encompasses both worlds
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with comprehensive knowledge of Powerpoint and Figma (or at least a willingness to become a power-user)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment or on your own when needed
  • Proficient in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Frame.io) and Microsoft Office/Teams, Sharepoint, Dropbox, Slack, Basecamp

ADDITIONA

  • Hybrid : This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
  • This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
