Position Duties:
The Georgia Department of Revenue currently has an opening in our growing and innovative
Taxpayer Services Division.

If selected for this role, you will:
• Produce written content, lesson plans including instructor notes and presentation decks.
• Participate in the development of instructive courses for use in support of training.
• Write in different voices for different audiences and filter content based on the audience’s
needs.
• Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assessments and training modules.
• Work on multiple projects, with different complexity levels, in an environment with changing
priorities.
• Evaluates training documentation and learning outcomes.
• Properly review, update, and maintain documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
The Curriculum Writer will report directly to the Assistant Director.
Entry Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND three years’ experience providing educational training, or
instructional services in functional area.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification or Degree in English, Journalism, Education, Creative Writing or Technical
Writing.
• Experience writing gap analysis/developing evaluation reports.
• Experience documenting and building out content in online databases.
Essential Qualifications:
• Writing – Experience producing clear, concise, and instructive prose.
• Investigating: Experience in piecing together information to create coherent, useful
documentation.
• Tracking: Experience in identifying where existing documentation will need to be updated
based on new project developments.
• Production: Experience in producing written content to be used for instructional learning.
Content to include, but not limited to, lesson plans, training modules, instructor notes,
assessments, presentations, and SOPs.
• Time Management: Experience in prioritizing projects and follow-up on deliverables.
• Resilience - How consistently an employee displays the ability to adapt to changing
circumstances while at work.
