About the Role Our firm is partnering with a leading national retailer to identify a skilled Project Manager to support their Exterior Services team on a six-month contract engagement. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-volume, multi-location operational program within the retail industry, working alongside a well-established facilities organization that manages exterior services across a large portfolio of store locations nationwide.
Job Description Our client's Exterior Services team is seeking a contractor to provide operational and program support during a six-month engagement focused on the ongoing execution of their nationwide exterior service programs. These programs include landscaping, lot sweeping, and snow removal across a large, geographically dispersed portfolio of retail locations.
In this role, the contractor will serve as a key point of support for vendor management, work order administration, and day-to-day program operations. Responsibilities will include analyzing operational data, generating reports, tracking service performance, and helping resolve escalated issues that arise across the portfolio. The contractor will partner closely with field teams, service vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure work is completed on time, meets quality standards, and aligns with program expectations.
The ideal candidate brings a strong operational mindset, advanced Excel proficiency, and a proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving, working cross-functionally, and driving results within a large-scale facilities or field services program.
Qualifications Required Qualifications: - 3+ years supporting operational programs, facilities programs, vendor management functions, or field service operations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, reporting, trend analysis, and dashboard development.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams, priorities, and deadlines within a high-volume operational environment.
- Experience working with vendors, service providers, contractors, or external business partners.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review operational data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Experience maintaining documentation, tracking deliverables, and supporting process execution across multiple locations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across field teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with demonstrated ability to perform audits, quality reviews, and data validation activities.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience using IBM Maximo or similar CMMS/work order management platforms.
- Experience reviewing scopes of work, service proposals, maintenance requests, or vendor submissions.
- Facilities management, maintenance operations, property management, field operations, or service program experience.
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed operations or large multi-location programs.
- Exposure to landscaping, snow removal, parking lot maintenance, exterior services, or related vendor-managed services.
